The Omi Jam 16th Jan 2005 - Fareed Rashid in Town
It was great to have Fareed Rashid the founder of MILES back in town. I met him after almost 20 years -- and so much water has flowed in and out of the Bay of Bengal in the mean time! Omni Music held a jam in honour of Fareed and MILES put in a terrific show. I sang a couple of old tunes. Fareed left for the U.S the following morning.

Wow Mac! I was surfing the net and came across your Blog. It brought back some incredebile memories of Chittagong and my long lost cousin, Fareed Rasheed, who was a very loving older brother to us, in the 60's. Despite going through some tough times himself, he was very kind to my siblings and myself. I am referring to the time period when the band, "Lightnings" was being developed. I was about seven years old at the time. I have some exceedingly pleasant memories of my cousin, Fareed Rasheed, who extended an older brother's kindness and protection towards me and my siblings. This blog really brought back some amazing memories.
